I think everyone else who has decided to self-quarantine are, also, going through the hump what in the world am I going to do to keep myself busy. Being a classic introvert that works from home & loves slow living, I am kind of just keeping myself busy with regular tasks & happily taking a lot of time to prepare meals and bake a lot.
I have made curries, stews, ragu, brownies, breads, pot pie & I am looking forward to spending time learning to make a lot of new things, too.
Some skills I would like to hone, during this time, include gardening and making pie. Gardening is something that came easily back home but growing any fruits and vegetables outside in Florida has been a bit of a task.
Pies, now, I am just a chicken and always put off learning new things, just like everyone else.
If you are quarantining in any way, how are you keeping yourself busy? How are those around you handling it?
A monarch butterfly emerged today!! It was such a surprise because we never saw any indication of it coming out, as the colors of the chrysalis were still quite green yesterday. This is the last chrysalis and I am spending a lot of time admiring this beauty while trying to decide where, exactly, I will be placing them when they are ready.
I am eyeballing a neighbor's hibiscus plant because of the big, beautiful flowers that are too perfect for our friend.
I hope that everyone is having a nice Sunday. It feels like it is a bit hard to entirely relax in these times but make sure that you are taking care of yourself. Stay safe & healthy.
