YARN CARE

Yarn will be labeled with fiber content, yardage, grams and weight(thickness).
I hand dye all yarns until the dye exhausts, completely. After dyeing, I soak my yarn in a scentless Eucalan soak, which softens the yarn and adds back a bit of lanolin.

Product listings will, also, include if the yarn is superwash or non-superwash. Care for yarn varies between the two. Please read below for proper care.
Non-superwash yarn is, typically, easily feltable. You need to hand wash in cool water, gently, with mild detergents and then block, as needed, after gently squeezing out excess water.
Superwash yarn is a processed yarn that makes felting much harder. You can be a little more vigorous with washing(I toss my socks in the washer on delicate with cool water & mild detergent, myself, and hang to dry) which makes care much simpler.

ABOUT HAND DYED YARN

All hand dyed yarn is wonderfully unique. Even within the same batch, each yarn emerges completely different from the others. I think this is one of the reasons that I was drawn to this art form & why it works so well with me.
When you purchasing yarn, I provide a generic photo of the colorway and what you receive will, literally, never be an exact carbon copy. Just as unique as YOU.
If you experience any color wicking(color rubbing off on your hands), please be aware that this is entirely natural, particularly with the color blue & different things can create this effect, like your body's ph, lotion, etc. It's part of the madness, as the blue dye particles are larger than the others and sometimes they have a harder time "sticking" to the yarn.  All yarns are set, often overnight, and rinsed before drying.

Yarn Bases

I currently have 3 bases available for pre-order.  These are my three main bases that I am regularly rotating through my dye pots. Sometimes, I may dye different bases, but these are the only bases that I will always be actively dyeing on.
I will continue to expand on this list.
