I don’t even know how many years ago I cast on this crocheted blanket. I’ve had this blanket with me now in two different states!! In Florida I felt like the humidity and heat really kept me away from being able to work on this project for long periods of time because my hands would get sweaty and the hairy alpaca fuzz didn't mix well (gross, I know). Now that I live in a cold climate, it’s just a simple forgetfulness because this is such a fun and easy craft to pick up and down. As I finish one new project, I try to look backwards and pull out older projects as I am trying to get much better organized with my works in progresses, either pulling them out and putting the yarn away for later or picking up and working on the project, while still creating some more current patterns. I’ve been enjoying Sizz shawl which I believe has been on the needles for about three years. That’s definitely a pattern that takes a lot of focus because you don’t wanna mess up on brioche unless you want to take it back or be leave very visible mistakes. I am excited to work on this more popcorn-y, older project, crochet clouds blanket. I have always had people ask me what the pattern is for this blanket and I figured that I would get up the courage to type out a crochet pattern one of these days. Today is not that day. Why not? I need some help with developing a crochet pattern. Even though I started out as a crocheter, I never really used a lot of patterns or became well versed in reading them.
I can say that I am alternating granny stripe rows of different colored sock yarns with an undyed alpaca & silk yarn. My granny clusters are in increments of 4. I am trying to figure out what I plan to do with the border of this. What would you do? There are sooooo many ends!! Sheena
